FERENTZ Rights the Ship Against Big 10 Bottom Feeder

To steal 9 words from a famous Hawkeye radio man, “I love it, I love it, I love it”.  I think we all figured that the HAWKEYES and KIRK FERENTZ would win the game but dominate?  The HAWKEYES pushed the Hoosiers all over the field.  The defensive line with usual standout MITCH KING wreaked havoc on Indiana.   We even knocked the opposing quarterback out of the game, which is something that we used to do with regularity in our top ten runs of recent history.

The offense was more road grader than anything else.  Shonne Green and Jewel Hampton both had 100 yard days as the offensive line continues to impress.  Ricky Stanzi had a competent and efficient day and seemed to settle down and lead the team well.

All in all KIRK FERENTZ and the IOWA HAWKEYES won a must win game.  It was very good to see that the team still is putting forward maximum effort and has not folded up tent on the good Captain.  I think all of Hawkeye land is excited to see what we can do moving forward.   It sure is fun to watch the HAWKEYES beat up on a Big10 team, even if it is Indiana.  It is better than loosing to them, which we have done the last couple of years.
